The Malabar serves up an Italian cuisine with a twist of local ingredients, creating absolute fusion delights. Looking at Chef Pedro Miguel Schiaffino’s
carefully cooked up menu can be quite mouth-watering. ‘Braised rabbit with white wine, olives and potato flakes’, ‘Shrimp Enchiladas with re-fried plantains’, ‘Steamed duck rice with beer and cumin’.
Located in a quiet street of San Isidro, the Malabar is one of Lima’s most trendy, well priced restaurants. The well stocked bar offers a wide range of Pisco’s and the Pisco Punch is prepared to a recipe dating back some 150 years.

The design and atmosphere of the Malabar are very “downtown”. The cooking is outstanding utilizing fresh ingredients from around Peru. One of the best Pisco Sours in town. Great wine list that has breadth and value. If your Spanish is a bit rusty, opt for the menu in English!
