This Italian style restaurant which looks like it has been ripped from the heart of the Tuscany countryside is one of Cusco’s most charming restaurants. Located two blocks from the main plaza, tucked away on the second floor of an old colonial house, Cicciolina is conveniently located within a short walking distance of most hotels. The open style kitchen and large bar add to the appeal of the restaurant creating a busy and purposeful vibe. Decorative bundles of dried garlic’s and peppers hang from the ceiling and large vases of fresh flowers adorn the restaurant, creating a cozy and comfortable atmosphere. Cicciolina offers a full menu of international cuisine that also includes a selection of more traditional Andean dishes. There is also a tasty tapas menu available too. The waiters are professional and attentive throughout the meal, and add to the dining experience.

Our Verdict

This Cusco restaurant is simply one of our favorite places to dine. The food is outstanding, the service is excellent and the restaurant is a really nice place to be. Cicciolina’s can be a little tricky to find as it is actually located inside a courtyard of colonial house, and the entrance door to the restaurant is on the second floor. If you are looking to splash out one evening then this is the place to head, but be sure to get there early as this Cusco restaurant is always busy and you may have to wait for a table.
