La Red - Cevicheria

A plain non-descript brick façade opens up into a large airy restaurant, decorated with red and white walls, offset by bamboo canes. Open since 1981, this Miraflores Cevicheria is a popular Lunch-time hot spot for many Limanians. The full menu includes Criollo plates, but the fresh seafood selection is what makes this restaurant stand out.

Reservations: Not required, just turn up and eat.
Opening Hours: 10 am – 6 pm, daily.

Our Verdict

This is great small traditional Peruvian ceviche restaurant popular with locals. If you are looking for fine dining then this isn’t for you! If you want fresh seafood in a typical Peruvian restaurant at a reasonable price then La Red is the place for you. On the flip side, this isn’t the best looking restaurant in the world, and the plastic tables and chairs so commonly found in these types of Cevicherias, don’t fill you with confidence.
