About Delfin I

Originally built in 2010, with a cruising speed of 8 knots the Delfin I is the smaller of the two boats at 69 feet long. It has 4 luxury suites allowing for a capacity of 8 passengers travelling in first class luxury. Suites offer king beds with high count cotton lining, silent air-conditioning, private bathrooms with hot running water and large private terrace areas. The 2 Deluxe Suites even offer private outside whirlpool baths. The communal areas include an observation deck, bar, relaxing sofa area and a dining area.

About Delfin II

At 120 feet long, the Delfin II is the largest of the river boat fleet. With a capacity to accommodate 28 passengers in comfort, this vessel has been cleverly designed to offer 14 suites, of which 4 can be interconnected for family tours. All suites offer king beds, private bathrooms, hot running water and air-conditioning. Communal areas also include a large observation deck, a bar, a library, a restaurant serving Creolé Cuisine and a hammock sun-deck.

Cruise Itineraries

Delfin Amazon River Cruises offer 2 main itineraries of either 4 days / 3 nights or 5 days / 3 nights. Each tour follows roughly the same itinerary, travelling down river to the Pacaya-Samiria National Reserve, incorporating activities along the route. Activities include Canopy walks, hiking, fishing, night tours, and visiting local communities. All meals are included within the price. Our Thoughts!

Delfin Amazon Cruises are certainly one of the best cruise operators on the Amazon River. The river boats are high class and offer a supreme level of comfort for passengers. We really like the Whirlpool baths aboard the Delfin I, and the level of service offered by the crew. However, you can’t help but take in a deep breath when you talk about price! For a couple you are paying up-wards of $6,000!! Is it worth the money? Probably not, but this is a once in a life-time cruise that will leave lasting memories for years to come.
