From Plaza de Armas take Calle Plateros. The Real McCoy is located about 50 meters up the road on the right hand side. This restaurant is not easy to find as it is located on the second floor and the entrance is inside a small alley which is also a kind of market. Look out for the blue balcony of this restaurant which is clearly marked with a sign. (It might easier to cross the road).
10 – 25 Soles (US$3 – 9) per plate.
An excellent place to relax with friends or to make new ones, The Real McCoy is a great place to sit back and enjoy some good old home cooking. The quality of the food is high and the options are varied. Furnishings are a little old and could do with an update, but for those that have just been on a 20 hour bus ride, this Cusco restaurant is like all ten birthdays in one. Prices seem to be a little high for backpackers, and a meal and a beer could set you back 25 – 30 Soles (US$ 8-12).
